Have to say its rare for me to attack any grain like noise, just the colour stuff (which is no good to anyone)
Eric, you need to play with that film simulation software (or try some real film), I just printed off the old Delta and T-max high ISO 3200 stuff for mono, its right there..mono LOVES grain..big time! At A4 print size, grain is visible, but not overbearing at all, nice somewhat fine. That texture effect is very important IMHO for mono. Minus the grain the shots don't have half the impact.
This is one I did at A4 size, you could easily go larger of course..
