Sigma or Zeiss

I should be getting a new lens soon to replace my kitlens. Wondering if the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 is better than the Zeiss 16-80. the Sigma is cheaper but has less range. It also has a bigger aperture.

I don't mind using either of these lenses for some macro work. won't buy a dedicated macro lens yet. Sigma has better macro than Zeiss. Zeiss also has QC problems and alot of vignetting. Any Comments on the sharpness and colours and bokeh of these two lenses?
