Zeiss is nice, but then so's the Sigma ;-)

I find it very resistant to CA (I have seen several shot where the Zeiss has a bit of fringing) and sharp enough. I had considered the Zeiss when I bought my Sigma, but as you say, I was put off by early QC issues (I believe that's sorted now), and also wanted a FF compatible lens that was f2.8 straight through.

If you can, I'd try them both in a shop and ask them to print them out. However, I think you'd like the Sigma.
