Minolta AF 28-80 on a A700
Spring has arrived in Melbourne so I took a few pictures of the peach tree flowers in my backyard and the bees sniffing around. I used one of my old Minolta lens I bought with my Dynax 505SI long time ago. Pictures shown are around 50% crop of the original. What do you think of this camera-lens association?

Nikon D90 looks pretty impressive, this could hurt Canon more than Sony
If there is any new camera that could challenge Canon 50D sales, the D90 seems to be a camera capable of doing so. Similarly spec'd, and about the same price as the A700 currently, at about $1,299.99.
Photokina is going to be very interesting for both Nikon and Canon, and Sony too.
Custom White Balance
Hi there.
I was wondering if some one will be kind enough to take me thru the CWB setting using A700.
I read the important and function of the White Balance setting on line. However, I am not sure how to set them using A700.
I normally use AWB when I shoot.
Thanks

Baby Photos
These are some pictures I took of my cousins baby Saturday night while I was babysitting.
They were all taken with my a700 and the minolta 85mm1.4 G.

A700 Viewfinder Question
While looking through my a700's viewfinder at bright, sunny landscapes in Alaska--such as glaciers--I sometimes saw what appeared to be a split screen. The left half of the viewfinder screen looked sunny and blueish while the right half of the screen looked overcast and cold. It was almost like I was using a split filter with the split used vertically right down the middle instead of horizontally. I thought at first that this was being caused by my circular polarizer, but the same thing happened when I used a UV filter instead of the polarizer.
Tractor photos
Just some shots of a John Deere tractor and planter. Taken with the a700 and Tokina 19-35mm with a Hoya polarizing filter. I'm still impressed with the a700 and this lens. I don't think I have ever used a digital camera that allowed for the easy recovery of so much shadow and highlight information.

I tried experimenting with adding noise and adding a bit of color. I wanted to make it looks like an older photo. Not sure if I think it works or not.
