Sony 50 mm f/1.4 with 20 mm extension tube

First photo using my new 50 mm f/1.4 lens with a 20 mm extension tube.
I took this photo at 1/200 hand held, f/22, ISO 100, HVL-F56AM flash with blow up diffuser held next to lens.
It's a mountain laurel.

Sigma 75-300 APO DG Macro + 25 mm Extension tube on A100

Hi all!

This is what I achieved today. It was a beautiful day so I spent most of the day with the camers strap around my neck.
This photo is one of the many I took. Just wanted to share it with you and show that sometimes extension tubes can work!
Enjoy!

Cheers form the Netherlands

Is the Kenko extension tube set good?

Hey... I am now using the sony SAL 50mm f.14 lens.. I don't know much about extension tubes. All i know is that they decrease the minimum focusing range.

Few question's about them..
1. Do the extension tubes decrease the aperture?
2. Does the image quality lower when using a extension tube?
3. Should I get the kenko extension tube set or a macro lens?

Thinking of the Tamron 90 macro or extension tubes.. I don't want my bag to be too heavy for travel. so should I get the extension tubes with my 50mm f1.4 or a macro lens?

Extension Tube Set for Alpha lenses

As an avid hiker I would prefer to lighten the load of camera equipment I carry with me, and still maintain versatility. I recently bought the Sony 100 mm f2.8 macro and think it is a good lens but I would prefer to carry a set of extension tubes if they would keep the electronic connections between my camera's body and my lenses. I have been unable to find such extension tubes. Does anybody make them? I have been unable to find any.
