macro

Just bought a 100mm F2.8 macro

I purchased a used Minolta 100mm F2.8 Macro. Would someone look at these first few shots and tell me if they are representative of what this lens is capable of? My cat and the flower were hand held. I used a tripod for the spider, but the wind was blowing. :)

I'm looking at them on my laptop and I'm not sure of the sharpness and color.

Thanks for looking.

Exposure: 0.006 sec (1/160)
Aperture: f/6.3
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0/10 EV

So this time I took the advice I learned from the last critique, and applied some of them to this picture. I didn't have the option in Camera Raw (photo was taken in RAW) to use the Clarity option, but I did apply more vignette.. I took this with an aperture that was wider than before to isolate the droplets in the centre of the leaf..

Flowers.

Hi all,

Here are a couple of flower images from my archives, not entirely happy with the framing on the second photo, but would be interested to hear your opinions and or suggestions to improve.
