Picked up my A200 yesterday. So far mostly positive..will do a more in depth chat on that later at some point.

It appears difficult to get the A200 body only, so I got one with a kit lens. As I already have a KM 18-70mm, I guess I didn't need another one. But I thought I would give it a bash.

Sadly it appears that the sony version is not really up to the job on a 10mp sensor, in fact a few shots on the KM5d showed it was not really up to 6mp either! Though it was not "as bad"

I went to camera shop recently looking to get something of interest. I liked a used Minolta 24-85 f3.5-4.5 (Mark 1) lens. It had no front cap and no hood and its rear cap was generic. However, the lens was in good condition. The owner of the shop wanted $250 for the lens. I was like "HUH?!" The lens is used, it doesn't have everything it is supposed to have and when it was new it cost about $230 retail. Why should I pay such a premium? He of course did not have anything to say about it. What a joker!

I was just curious as to what I should be looking for when buying used equipment. I'm interested in the 50mm 1.7.
what should I do, look for, and any other tips when attempting to purchase a used equipment. all opinions and thoughts are welcomed. thanks in advance.
