70-300 "G" with Minolta 5D tested...samples

Just finished taking a few quick snaps with this combination...works well together with no issues...but I must admit the a700 is a better match for the lens.

Although SSM is supposed to work with these cameras...I still wondered in my mind until I tested it myself.

Samples were taken not for composition but a little variety of how this lens can work...all samples with NO post processing...straight jpegs from camera...sharpening turned up to +2 in-camera.

Made it into the "G" club...

I must say that if a lens can be called gorgeous this is it...i can't hear the focus motor at all...this is the lens I have been waiting for...I now see why everyone has so much enthusiasm surrounding this lens. Like all lenses it will have a learning curve.

I snapped a few shots but the light was going down quickly so don't judge too harshly...

(*pre-ordered myself one, even though they were showing out of stock)
