Random street shot - Smoker

Smoker...I don't see too many now a days, but I really liked his hair!

Street Shooting Lens Choice

This is of course a personal style judgement call, but I'm curious as to which one you'd pick.

I have an A700 but will likely also use the A900.

I have a 24mm Minolta lens and am deciding whether to get one more prime lens for street shooting.
For landscapes I can easily use a zoom but like being a bit lighter and a bit less obtrusive for candid shots.

I'm debating about whether to just work with the 24mm or to go for either the 20mm, 28mm, or a 50mm.
The 35mm is out, too big and too expensive.

Which would you pick and why?

Thanks.

Street Work in B&W

Just wanted to get some feedback on a few street shots that I attempted on vacation...
I would like to try and do more of this type of shooting.

Thanks in advance,

Hapster

Have any of you used the A300/350 for street shooting or the equivalent?

And with what results?

Recommendations for settings, cautions, etc.?

I'm used to using a small camera or a Pentax K10D with a 21mm pancake lens.
But I'd like to take advantage of the live view LCD for waist level shooting.

Thanks.
