Eric, Thanx for the update re: Lightzone.

It's always good to see another vendor keeping up with the alpha mount cameras. Also, have you tried their HDR style? Does it work well?

Just to let you know.

Hi all,

Just to let you all know Lightzone also works with the ARW RAW files from the Sony DSLR-A300.

Lightzone.

Hi b shaw,

I have just installed the latest trial of Lightzone, and so far my feelings are mixed. Some things seem to work really well, yet others don't seem so refined, if you are coming from another package such as Lightroom, Aperture or Photoshop Lightzone will take some getting used to.

Not tried LZ for a while.

Not tried LZ for a while. Last time I did, it was horribly slow. Is this still the case? This is with a fairly decent dual core system too.

Just took its time, not a problem for working on a few shots. But it would be for lots.

Lightzone speed.

Hi Barry,

Lightzone seeps comparatively slow compared to Aperture on a dual core intel mac. It is workable on the A300 JPGs, but very sluggish on RAWs.
