PHOTOWORLD Spring 08' Issue
Hi all!
Just received my issue of Photoworld in the mail today. Some very interesting articles and a solid issue choc full of good information from David Kilpatrick.
On the front cover is a Tiger Cub, shot with the Tamron 70-300 LD Macro (you don't have to spend a fortune to get a cover shot folks!). An endearing photo well worthy of the prize. See below.
Inside:
-David goes through the A200/A350 and compares to the A100
-There are excellent shots in the Gallery section by various Alpha users
-An experimental Panorama article featuring the work of Daniel K L Oi
-David breaks down the HVL-F42AM Flash
-Good info on viewfinder magnifiers
-A nice synopsis page of the available Sony zooms for kits (very well done)
-A brief review of the Tamron 70-300mm F4-5.6LD Macro
And more!
I wanted to take a moment and reiterate that one of the best (if not the best) publication for Alpha users is PhotoWorld. David is a consummate professional with a vast technical knowledge base on the A-Mount (and photography products in general). I really highly recommend this publication. It is really nice to have a magazine come in dedicated to the A-Mount, and you will learn quite a bit from it (I do as well!).
Anyways, I just really like this issue in particular and I wanted to share.

Hi all,
Just wanted to say that if you haven't checked out Photoworld I'd thoroughly recommend it. I got my issue about a week ago and it's packed full of useful advice as usual. The reader gallery is very good and just goes to show the talent that's out there!
I think David's article on the 300 and 350 is very fair, and he demonstrates the benefits of the 350's 14mp well- basically crops an image and then produces a large print of great quality.
Thoroughly recommended.

Ordered the Photoworld magazine the other day can't wait to see an issue.
The individuals at Photoworld are amazing I subscribed just a few days ago and received my copy today. Cover looks great!
It is very informative, helpful and wonderfully published. Not the cheap sort of runny ink throw a way's you'll see in most newsstands. Maybe one day it will be a monthly publication, but I think it needs more support. Hopefully Sony will grow as large as the big two one day and the demand for it will increase.
