I've left....sorta....
My KM5D has been semi-retired to second body status now.
Was going for the A700, but decided that my needs would be best suited with the A300 at this moment in time. And now have the battery on charge, hopefully for Thursday, weather permitting! Oh, and LV adds some welcome bulk for an old 5D owner too!

Hi Carl,
Congrats the A300 is a sweet camera and I fear the 5D may be permanently retired... I have seldom used mine since getting the A300. The main difference I found was the response. The AF is just so much more snappy. Have fun and post some results when you are ready.

The AF response from Amber's A200 was kind of the clincher between the A300 and the A700. That and a new 32" LCD TV we need....
It's bulkier than the A200, and that feels more 5D like to me!
Hoping we get some weather, as opposed to constant precipitation. Hang on, there's a bank holiday coming up. Damn it!

:) I thought, he should be #1 not #2, isn't that nice of me? Yeah I know it was.
Annnyways. Hey good deal getting the A300. Going to be fun watching you play around with that, it's a hoot to shoot!
I think the live view can be a back saver, plus everything else it has going for it.
VERY interested in your thoughts on it Carl.

And, I've seen Austin Powers, I'm more of a number 2 Carl :)
Just finished removing the defaults, and setting my own, raw, eyestart off, etc. Not really had the chance to play, and one shot so far....
This is in our garden, very beautiful, but also very strange flower!
