Holiday Pics from Thailand 2008

Sawaddee/Hello from Thailand. Enjoying a life at the moment here under the S-E Asian sun, everything's fine and a lot of things to shoot at. First pic slightly processed, other's more or less as they were from the camera. Hardware same as usual, A200 + Sigma 18-50mm.

This connection at the moment sucks, so only a few starters...hopefully better connection available later. :D

Mika

These are excellent.

I like the timeless feel you put into your PP work. All good choices you picked out to show imo.

Love that first shot. It almost looks like a Sepia image with isolated red colors. It works, however you did it.

Thanks Carl, you got it

Thanks Carl, you got it right, it's mostly made to sepia, but left the red alone and increased it's value a bit. Wanted to add some vintage spirit in to it with those nice red thai characters.

Other pic about that same cat, can't choose which one is better, they both got their good and bad things:

Let's continue the series with these one from the Swensen's icecream bar:

Here's a few more, we are now at the island named Koh Chang (elephant island), it's warm, sunny and no problems! =)

Unfortunately, holidays are

Unfortunately, holidays are over now and just came back to home. One of the best holidays so far, 30 days and about 2800 pics taken. Sigma 18-50mm was a very fine tool for most of the time and when it was too short, the Beercan saved the day.

Here's few samples, thanks for looking and as always, comments are more than welcome.

wow keijog outstanding Thailand photographs

I don't know how I missed this but to me most of these are outstanding. I really like the 'look' these all have, and it's unusual to see this type of look from a sony shot as well imho. Care to share any details on any pp done on these?

But more than that great job on the the moments you've captured here, the framings, choices of subjects everything. I like these a lot, great work.

Mika

Love the additional shots. And I will never tire of cat shots so, fire away here all you want please! :)

Again, excellent work (really like your PP work, has a nice believable thumb print to it ).

I remember seeing this thread a while back,

Hi Mika,

I remember seeing this thread a while back an can't believe I didn't comment :-( Anyway I really like the very first shot of the cart with the sepia colour to it and the red accents. I also really like the first of the 'art' series - that shot has such amazing colour and saturation to it.

It seems like you had a great time and I look forward to seeing more of your photos from your trip- these first examples are great so keep 'em coming!

Cheers for sharing.

Thanks guys, all comments

Thanks guys, all comments appreciated. Nice to notice that you liked these shots. About the PP, I use only the Adobe's Lightroom to do the processing, if there's a need. Now I had also the Elements in my computer, so I used that to add the signature and redused a bit the image quality, so it's more suitable for the web use.

Here's something from the archive:

This was shot mainly, because I think, that it would be a nice wallpaper to my laptop, leaving the left hand side empty for the icons

This was made mainly, because I thought, that it will work as a poster, order is made, will see :)
