Some Irish shots!
Spent a day out in Tarber, Co. Kerry.
Some info about the place here:
http://www.tarbert.ie/tourism.php
Light was not so good today, but I gave it a crack, def not good landscape light..so I wandered around the town a bit...
Guess I will start with an obvious one ;-)
Lacking ideas I found a nice gnome in someones garden
They call police, "garda" over here..and this is the blue light in all its glory!
Wandered into the local church, pretty modern sadly..some great old churches over here, but this aint one of them! Anyway, I tried to make the best out of it..
On the way back, just another sign, some places are not called pubs here..but "drinking consultants" hmmmmm lol ;-)
This caught my eye for some reason, I think I had something sinister on my mind when taking this
As ever, and thoughts and commments welcomed..

For some reason the last 2 didnt show up..so here they are again!
Really like the pics, I would really like to go back and be able to sight see. On the way to the Middle East in 1990, we got the pleasure of staying at RAF Alconbury for 2 weeks. The only thing was, we were not allowed to leave the base...so no chances to see the Country.

You did well with a modern church. Great symmetry in that shot. And I have to say I love the gnome. But I just plain love gnomes and hunt them out in peoples gardens! Or take my own with me!

Thanks for the comments, I guess there is an ok picture to be taken in most towns, even though I do like landscapes, you can still have some fun with other types of shot.
Those are neat, I like the first shot the simplicity, color and composition.
ditto for Garda, actually even better on the color I like the composition the in it.. No fair is this that darn KM color in action? One of these days I want to mess with trying to replicate that on the sonys.
The church shot I agree with previous poster symmetry is really nice, looks good in black and white I like the exposure.
I really like that last shot, very nice composition and mood off it. Looks sorrowful, makes me think of... I don't know WW I funeral? ha probably an odd comment, but yeh I like that one a lot.
thanks for posting those up
