Air show shots
I can't recall that I have ever shot photos at an air show with a SLR or DSLR. I need to work on my tracking abilities, but I think I got a few decent shots. Strangely, there weren't many people taking pictures at this event.

The show will be flying over our house as usual this coming weekend. I will be trying to capture some shots, but since they come from nowhere, it will be a bunch of guessing from me.

Excellent work Brian!! I get to see the Blue Angels for the first time this summer and your photos made the wait even more painful:).
Thanks for sharing these, Ron
Thanks! Luckily, the announcer would tell the audience from what direction they were coming. When they go by a 400mph it's very difficult to keep up with the plane. I think the camera and lens can do it, but I couldn't rotate myself fast enough. You can't rely on your ears, because these plans are usually quite ahead of where the sound is coming from.
I haven't seen them in years, but this made me remember that they're worth seeing. The flying is quite impressive and makes a great photo op.
