An encounter with a small young buck in the velvet.
It was dark in the shadows of the forest even though it was mid day. I come upon a small buck that seemed to like me. I was so close to him I could count the deer tics on his head.

Hi Dan,
This is an excellent series with great captures. I really like no.1 and 2. The lighting in no.2 is stunning and really helps the deer stand out. I like 3 and 4 also, but no.3 seems just a touch soft. It's a shame as it's a great shot otherwise.
Great work as always. Please, keep 'em coming.

wow great shots, very pleasing. They don't seem overly skittish where you're at.
I especially like #1, #2, and #4. Nicely done

Dude your pictures of deers are always so intense. How do you approach them without scaring them off? Or are they just not that scared of people that easily?
