Genius design, idiot operator!
Or day 2 with the new A300!
Haven't really used liveview - want to get used to ovf first and foremost. Who said you can't manually focus on such a "poor" viewfinder? And I'm blind as a bat!
And waterdrops.
Autofocus, inbetween the showers.

Hey Carlj,
Nice shots, seems like you've already cracked the A300, these photo are pretty cool. I especially like the first and last images. The second photo is cool also, but seems a touch flat/dark. Quick tweak and you'll have a winner.

A tweak too far :)
Thanks for that. Getting to enjoy the A300, though the grip isn't quite 5D standard. Shots with Sigma 105mm, if anyone wants to know!

Been a bit overblown that situation. It's not great, but it will do just fine, bright enough and covers 95% so cant complain with such a good live view system.
Good to see you are already getting results from it.
like the Jpegs/IQ?

But, for storage reasons, the missus shoots jpg on the A200, and yup, even at default, are impressive!

Try a high ISO b/w jpeg sometime, pretty grain and good detail, if you are into that sort of thing.
I think the grain from Sony's CCD's looks nicer than the CMOS grain.

Pretty impressive first set of shots! Nice strong compositions, nice and sharp, and the colors look great. I actually like the 2nd one as is (slightly darker) as it seems in-line with the mood just after the rain.
Keep 'em coming!
And welcome Keith!
Acid test is when the big Tammy comes out. I know the A200 is faster focussing than my 5D, but I need to see how the OVF copes. Mind you, could mount the lens, and show off in the hide with liveview :)

Still working on most though.
