My older one with the 50mm f/1.7

It was a pain trying to work in the bright sun, esp with her sweater, but thanks to shooting in raw, I was able to pull some magic. BTW, she is 6 and starting to learn the ropes with a DSC-H2. She wants a camera for her 7th birthday.

Nice photos as usual Royston....

Hi Royston,

Great shots as always, both are nice, but I prefer the top photo. I think her pose is more natural and she seems happier with you taking her picture. In the second photo, she seems a bit more 'posed' and almost 'awkward'. Don't get me wrong- it's still good, but no.1 is the winner for sure! Were these set up, or quick grab shots?

Cheers
Andrew

I agree

With Andrew, top shot does look more natural and she looks comfortable :) Thanks for sharing....

Carl

Thanks for the comments,

Thanks for the comments, Guys. I like the first myself, although the second expression is mostly due to her being more in the direct sun. You know the kind of facial expressions the sun can bring out in you. :-)
