Pics from Tracy Aviary
My bird kick continues. I've made a couple trips to the Tracy Aviary here in Saltyville. I cannot beleive I'd never been there before. There is quite a variety of birds and many are not behind glass or wire, so shooting is a blast. The Golden and Bald Eagles have damaged wings and can't fly, so they are just in a little pen with a three foot high fence and only a few feet from you with nothing in between. They were well within the minimum focusing distance of the 80-200 and 300. Very cool place. Enjoy the pics.

Hard to pick a favorite within these shots. Absolutely outstanding photos. Great work.

I pick Woody as my favorite. This is something about those birds that get me. I used to shoot one (with a camera of course) at my parents house all the time.

All are nice and #3 being my favorite.

I agree...All are nice but #3(peacock?) stands out for me with the background and lighting.

#4 would be my favorite. I like the expression (do birds have expressions) on it's face.

I love the contrast on #3, but the woodpecker's color is gorgeous.

Wow - Great bird shots - like them all. One of the areas I struggle in is wildlife images. It takes great timing and skill and patience.
