There was a B17 in our area the last couple of days. Here is one shot.

I like how you isolated this area. I'd like to see some window perhaps, but maybe not :)
I fell in love with B-17's in high school, went as far as doing a very big and detailed drawing of one. I am no artist with a pencil or paintbrush, but I worked really hard on it because it was special to me.
Still have it to this day (I laugh at it now though, but it does have sentimental value).
Thanks for taking me back Ron.

dad and also my daughter...
She would be excited to know what her PopPop did so long ago. I think his portrait is still up as shot of the week...
Thanks,

I love these old birds. I was sitting here at work a couple of days ago and I heard the unmistakable of those big old radials. I did not know the B17 was going to be in town, but as soon as I heard that sound, I was pretty sure. I ran outside and there she was:). I would like to see your drawing Carl!!
Here is a shot from this morning as she flew over where I work.

BTW Carl, I am pretty happy with the Tammy 70-300.
Excellent images Ron.
The framing on the first photo is pretty good. Quite like Carl's idea about the window... The second image is also very good, I like the way it's framed- helps to give good detail on the plane. Maybe it would look better if it had a small crop to tighten it up?
Thanks for sharing these images of a great plane/icon.
