Sigma 75-300 APO DG Macro + 25 mm Extension tube on A100

Hi all!

This is what I achieved today. It was a beautiful day so I spent most of the day with the camers strap around my neck.
This photo is one of the many I took. Just wanted to share it with you and show that sometimes extension tubes can work!
Enjoy!

Cheers form the Netherlands

Hi Andrek, thank you for the post :)

What were your settings on this shot, and is it a crop by chance?

Carl

cropped

Hi Carl!

This photo was cropped indeed. size now is 3006*1667 and the original 3872*2592.
It was taken with the following settings (that I recall and find in the Exif info)
Aperture priority
F-number 8.0
Exposure time 1/30
ISO 100
DEC on 'Vivid'
Sharpening +1

That's all I guess.

Still experimenting a lot and having great fun by doing so.

Macro Shot of Grass and Dew With Extension Tube

Hello Andrek - Very nice! Could you tell me which extension tube (make and model) you are using? Thanks.

extension tube

Hi!
The extension tube I own was obtained in a lens deal together with remote control cord, 35-105 (beercan) and a 'real' beercan (70-210 f4).
It is 25 mm Kenko extension tube with the following marks on it: Mx-AF UNIPLUS TUBE 25

Nothing special, but a nice accessory if you can't afford a real macro lens. Maintains al AF funtions of the mounted lens and camera although the main focusing to get started works easiest with the zoom ring.
If you live in the Netherlands.... I know my brother has a similar Extension tube for sale. I believe it's a vivitar, but not sure...)

Bye
