Price Guesses on the Zeiss 17-35mm?

The question is will I need a second mortgage.

I'm guessing around $1800 in the U.S.

But that's a wild guess with nothing to support it!

I don't know, but recent pictures of the said lens and the A900 in action indicate that it will actually be a 16-35mm lens.

That was my typo, sorry.
I was aware it was to be as announced months ago, 16-35mm.
