First off we want to thank you for making our second contest an even more successful endeavor than our previous contest, Wildlife. Either the word is spreading, or "Your Best Landscape Shot" was a more popular pick for a contest theme. We had quite a few really excellent shots submitted here, and it was really nice to see so many shots from all over the world. Thank you all for entering and participating.

This time there will be a First, Second, and Third place winner with one Runner Up. First and Second place winners get $75 and $25 Amazon gift certificates respectively. All of the placing shots were picked on the basis of good exposure, degree of difficulty, composition, and overall pleasing quality. Please note that it was very difficult to choose the final winners overall.

So without further ado, lets announce the winners!

First Place- Goes to JahFtb, a very moody New Zealand sunrise taken with the A100, congratulations on the First Place Win!

Second Place- Goes to Old Pirate, this shot was taken with the A100 and the Sony CZ 16-80 in Glacier National Park, Arrr we be liken this one matey! (Yes I couldn't resist the urge to talk like a Pirate)

Third Place- Goes to Micah, shot with the Maxxum 7D and a Sigma 10-20mm lens in the Tide Pools in Corona Del Mar, CA. A very dramatic photograph with unique blend of post processing and use of a Graduated Neutral Density Filter.

Runner Up- A gorgeous shot by AlphaOne with excellent colors and a crisp eye catching reflection of Lake Winfield Scott in the Chattahoochee National Forest, Georgia

We personally want to thank all of you for participating in this contest. Although we have prizes and rules and guidelines set up, our contests are really all about a celebration of photography. Many of the pictures submitted were excellent, and again choosing "winners" was a task we took very seriously. Hopefully many of you will join us for our next Monthly Photo Contest which we will announce very shortly.
