What are we about?
AlphaMountWorld.com is a U.S. based website dedicated to providing, and helping to share, essential Alpha Mount related products specific to Digital SLR Cameras utilizing the Sony Alpha Mount system (originally Konica Minolta). We provide information on, and write in-depth "real world use" reviews about, the products directly and some indirectly related to the Alpha Mount system. We aim to provide you, our readers, the latest news and information, essential learning tools, informational website links, and much more... all to help, and most importantly motivate, the growing Alpha Mount user.
We believe that the Alpha system produced by Sony (and the former Konica Minolta system), provides photographers with essential photographer friendly-leading edge innovations, quality, attention to detail, and outstanding value well beyond what other manufacturers currently provide - thus our passion. However, we also believe equipment is only the start. We love and promote photography at every level. Photography is a personal, passionate expression of the heart and mind and everyone is encouraged to share their unique thoughts and constructive ideas here with us. We want to hear what all of you have to say!
Please poke around and check out our reviews, or see how talented you really are by posting your photos in our photo critique forum! We have much more on the way, and our site will be constantly updated, so expect a large body of Alpha Mount lens data and high quality enthusiastic reviews very soon! For example, we will have the entire lineup of Alpha DSLRs (current and discontinued) reviewed here as soon as it is realistically possible, along with the more popular and value packed lens varieties available. We encourage you to subscribe to our feeds for all of the latest updates as we are working hard to bring you the latest information as fast as we can.
And most of all, have fun here. Our site is intended as a breath of fresh air; one of a positive attitude that promotes excellence in photography. We urge you to participate in our user forums, post images, and lend support to other members to help them become better photographers.

Congrats to the both of you from Puerto Rico. I am without a camera since my great 5D, KM of course!, was stolen last December but my plans are for a Sony purchase in the near future. I am tempted by Nikon but SSS/DRO really get me onboard! Thanks for the effort and the very best to AMW!

Hello all, as a long time Minolta afficionado this is a place I will no doubt be spending some time in!
It all started when I bought an X-300 with Vivitar 28-70 in 1989.......
