Besides the world stopping press our site received for its debut :), we decided to up the ante a bit more by providing you our readers, up to date information from PMA '08. I will be there to get as much interesting information as I can possibly absorb, about the new and exciting products from the Sony booth for DSLRs.

PMA UPDATES! - Thursday 2:10 pm

-Who I've met here- Dave Etchells and Shawn Barnett from Imaging Resource (more to follow on those conversations, in brief ... Sony is the top news at PMA, Dave and Shawn both very impressed with Sony.) Met John Shafer from Photography Review, gave him some rundown on the Sony equipment

-New flagship model displayed (not the same mock up from last year), 24mp FF sensor is confirmed, A-900 WILL NOT be the production name of the flagship camera ( originally as told by the Sony reps working the show, we now know that is indeed the name of the Flagship). Not much has changed in the appearance of the camera at all.

-Expect a total of 5 models this year, no bridge camera between A350 and A700 (from what I've gathered, this is not an official statement by Sony)

-6 new mock up lenses displayed near Flagship display, 4 primes 2 zooms

-Spoke with Bill Lembke at Sony, a very helpful tech rep

-A200 is much nicer than it would seem, quieter shutter confirmed, build quality is very solid, refined, very nice camera -more to follow

-A300/350 Live view is excellent to use, very easy, cameras are chunky but nice and well built. Consumers should love it!-more to follow
