The Sony A300 is Sony's third and final entry level DLSR announced for 2008. A bargain high speed Live View camera, it's packed with one of the industries best 10.2mp image sensors, a tilting and variable angle 2.7" LCD, industry leading Super Steady Shot in-body image stabilization, Eye Start auto focus sensors, anti-static/anti-dust CCD cleaning, and more.
This camera is punch number three from Sony in the onslaught of the entry level market, and boy did they really came out swinging! The A300 carries over the same sensor and and general performance as the A200, but with more of the extra goodies from the A350. Currently the A300 is priced at $699.00 (USD) which includes a 18-70mm kit lens, and this little camera just may be the best bet of all three. Or is it? Please read further!

The Sony A350 is the entry level big brother of the three new DSLRS Sony has announced for 2008. It's packed with features like- Sony's proprietary Live View (the best design in any entry level DSLR to date), a 14.2 MP CCD imager, a 2.7" Multi angle/tilting LCD, Super Steady Shot image stabilization, CCD Dust Cleaning, Eye Start automatic auto-focus sensors and sells for body only at $799.00. This camera is punch number two in Sony's knock out attempt at entry level sales market share and may just be the biggest punch of the three. Let's see how this camera compares to the other recently announced Alphas!
Shutterbug has a bit coming up in the June edition of ShutterBug magazine about the PMA presence of Sony, and has written a small piece on the A350 and the Flagship using the newer photographs of the Flagship for the article.

Sony A200-Auto Focus performance evaluation
Sony A200
About 9:00am this morning I took out the A200 to a local community lake to test its Auto Focus merits. Sony has claimed better auto focus performance with the addition of the new high torque motor that is also included in the A700. My aim today: to see if there is any real and noticeable overall performance changes in a high demand situation such as shooting birds in flight over the A100.

Sony A200 DSLR hands on report:
Preamble:
AlphaMountWorld now gladly has its hands on Sony's newest DSLR camera, the Alpha A200. A totally new design that one could argue is the first DSLR designed from the ground up by Sony since its acquisition of Konica Minolta. The A200 doesn't in any way resemble past DSLRS designed by KM rather, this new design seems to finally stand out as Sony's true first DSLR.
A350 Image samples:
Due to popular demand, we have now posted samples for lower ISO users, again from a pre-production camera from the counter at PMA. Remember, these aren't scientific, but I had a pretty steady hand :). 1/5th sec hand held shot look pretty sharp? All jpegs (again cannot process raw files without new software).
Ill leave you to do the feedback.

Sony A350 Sample Images, ISO 3200 and 1600 - 2/6 Note updated links, images moved to new location
Hey folks! Just finally getting some time to peek at a couple of the images I took at the Sony booth at PMA. These are hand held (of course) both jpegs (currently not able to view raw due to new software coming with the A350 supposedly). These are pre-production samples, and about as good as I could get while at the counter (I wanted lots of shadows). Lens was the Sony 18-250, and camera settings were A Priority, Auto White balance and 14mp res. (Good file sizes too! 4.5 megs and 6.7 megs respectively) Fine jpegs. Had to resize them for now, and shortly will post the full size images were resized in CS2 to 50% of original.
