A700 Predictions- It's Time.

Ok, I mused a bit this weekend (and a bit before this weekend as well) about the A700 replacement and its time to share my thoughts.

I had a conversation this morning with someone else about this subject, and decided it was time to share.

So here is my conservative list on what I think we will see on the 7 series replacement (s):

12.2 or 14.2 CMOS sensor- Doubt Sony would develop an even newer sensor just for this camera, as these are brand new, as are the new Bionz processors.

-New 16-22 point AF system, f/2.8 center and surrounding points

Super Steady Shot issue with a700

I have a problem with SSS especially with the older KM lenses, in a nutshell i get the 'shaking hand' error in viewfinder even on a tripod!!!!!!!! Is this a known issue or just a problem with my camera?

A700 & Sony 11-18 - yeah it really is that steep (and deep).

On Camera Flash Mystery

I am having trouble getting good results with the on camera flash, particularly when trying to fill flash a dark spot in a daylight shot. I have it set for pre flash TTL, but when I pull it up, in Aperture preferred mode, I get a default 1/60 and usually the shot is under exposed. I just tried it in full Auto and the shot was almost black - in Program mode it seemed to expose correctly.

I read the manual again and can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong.

Any ideas?
