SAR, the Sony rumor site is giving a high probability that the a700 replacement is the a77 and it will be out in January.

End of DSLR and OVF with Sony? If they can do that to the a7xx line then they can most certainly also do it to the a8xx/a9xx line.

Hope everybody likes the untried EVF/Video line of Sony.

I happened to be cruising through dpreviews web site and decided to pop back to the A700 review, and boy am I glad I did. What a great camera, and I am very very happy I own one. Live view and video aside, have a look at the "Bang for your Buck". With all the recent negative talk (me included) I was beginnig to feel a bit down mouthed, and even threatened giving up on Sony. Not any more - I love my A700, and I now have no intentions of parting with it for a long time. I am also happy waiting for the next A7**, because if history repeats itself, it can only be a great camera.

Just logged on to Flickr but it's all changed, how do i get the tag now so i can pst some shots?

I was introduce to the Sony A-Series camera back in May and have been on the hunt to find one ever since.

I am currently am an Olympus E-Series owner and I cannot decide if I want to sell it to help with the cost of my new Sony or use it as a backup.

I really need for my new camera system to be cost effective but good quality.

I am a portrait photographer and really would like an 24-70 and a 85mm but can't afford both at this time.

So I have been looking at getting a Minolta lens to help compensate for the cost?
