A900 ISO 6400 Diary
Figured I'd start a thread for high ISO shots with the A900, for fun.
If you use any noise reduction please state just the basics on what you did. If you want to include your camera settings or tips for others, have at it. Not too many rules for this other than the shots must be ISO 6400 and it would be nice to mention noise reduction or raw processing technique (if shot in raw).

A850 dreaming...
So...this year's summer vacation is to Jackson, WY to visit the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. This could be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and I'm itching to find a reason to go FF. :D The trip will obviously involve lots of landscape work, and I am really wanting to experience ultra-wide full frame goodness in all its glory. There's a chance, albeit slim, that I can make the move to an A850 between now and then. Lenses are really the key - I already have a Minolta 24-85RS, 50 f/1.7, Beercan & 70-300G. Would the 24-85 make at least a good 'starter' FF lens?
Possible good news for A900/850 owners
Recently some rumors and light evidence has been seen on the net claiming that A900/850 cameras would have a firmware update addressing commonly expressed concerns and issues from the owners of these cameras. Anybody who has kept up with me at all knows that I have been championing for a FW update addressing several issues on the A900/850 cameras for quite some time now.
Depth of Field question.....
I have a photo to take and I need some help.
I'm having a tough time withj it and have tried many different things to get it the way the client wants but am always off a hair.
I have an object to capture that is approximately 8 feet long and 4 feet wide by 4 feet tall. I need to position it at roughly 45 degrees.
I want the entire object in focus but need to blur the background.
Any suggestions for the settings?
I have a choice of CZ 24-70 or CZ 16-35 both 2.8's
noisy a850
hi just bought a sony a850 but when i had some test shots, iso400,1/125,f4, forgot other details it was very noisy..lens used was a zeiss 24-70..is it the camera had a fault? i wish to upload the pictures in here but im not sure how to..any help..thanks
