This contest was very successful. So many good entries it almost caused a judging nightmare! However, we persevered and have come up with our favorites, all things considered. Thank you all for being so patient, and I believe our next contest should yield faster judging results as we learned quite a bit from this contest.

We all decided that we should have three honorable mentions as well, simply because there were too many great shots here. First off we want to thank you for making our second contest an even more successful endeavor than our previous contest, Wildlife. Either the word is spreading, or "Your Best Landscape Shot" was a more popular pick for a contest theme. We had quite a few really excellent shots submitted here, and it was really nice to see so many shots from all over the world. Thank you all for entering and participating.

This time there will be a First, Second, and Third place winner with one Runner Up. First and Second place winners get $75 and $25 Amazon gift certificates respectively. All of the placing shots were picked on the basis of good exposure, degree of difficulty, composition, and overall pleasing quality. Please note that it was very difficult to choose the final winners overall.

Let us start off by saying thank you to all of you who entered our first monthly contest! There were quite a few entries and some really nice photographs submitted. The winners were difficult to pick so we had to include some honorable mentions as well to show more of our favorites. First and second place shots were picked on the basis of good exposure, degree of difficulty, composition, and an overall pleasing quality of the shot.

First Place- Goes to Brian Murphy (ovlov) for this very difficult shot of a Ruby-throated Hummingbird captured with the A100. Congratulations Brian, you won a brand new Tokina 19-35mm f3.5 -4.5 lens!
