A700- Skipping Control Wheel Issue
A700 Owners- Relief May Be in Sight!
The known issue with skipping menu items and settings as a result of using the control wheel(s) has now become commonplace with A700 owners. There are several ways to tackle this issue so that the control wheels operate back to normal. The A700 will eventually gather dust or foreign particles into the control wheel housing causing some skipping to eventually take place.

This is a bonifide teaser of the upcoming A700 replacement, looks like it's about to finally be unvieled. I'm excited at the very least to see what Sony interprets as a bonified replacement for the 7 series buyer:

Normally we don't post Sony NEX news however, this seemed too good for NEX users to pass up. We recieved this following email tonight from Sony:

Exclusive News- Sony A560 Delayed until at least Jan 2011 (Updated 9-8-2011)
*As of 9-8-2010, we at AMW were informed that Sony has indeed diverted
production facilities to the new cameras (A33/A55 and NEX models) to
help with higher than usual demand. Because of this, the A560 was then put on a different
production schedule and slated for first quarter 2011 production and
availability. Originally the A560 was due to the US market in mid Oct. 2010. Any rumors to the contrary, are just rumors at this point.*
Today I was phoned by Sonystyle USA and informed that the Sony Alpha A560 pre-orders for ALL customers are being canceled until at least January 2011 or until further notice. Sony removed the Alpha A560 from its website completely a few days ago, and now pre order customers are getting word that production is being delayed until next year. This is an unfortunate occurrence as I was very excited about the A560 and have never seen Sony do this before.
